E Meet on February 6
What a great day of fencing for Seacoast! At the E meet on Saturday, February 6 in Manchester, we had fencers from four states competing- New Hampshire of course, but also Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Our fencers did very well, and took first place in three of the four events. Devon Charlton defeated fellow Seacoast fencer Nicole Chiang for the gold in the Mixed Epee E, by a score of 15-13. Nick Shepherd won the Mixed Foil E, 15-5, over Kelly Litt, a Concord fencer who trains once a week at Seacoast. Isabella Connelly and Morgan Baker, who train at the Seacoast club in Rochester, tied for third in that event. Nicole Chiang won the Women’s Epee E, defeating teammate Ida Choy, 15-14, with Victoria Kerkhove finishing third. In Saber, Morgan Baker and John Terninko tied for third. Congratulations to all the medal winning Seacoast fencers!
Devon, Nicole, and Victoria will all be going to the Junior Olympics in Memphis, TN next week. Best of luck in Memphis!
