Seacoast Sweeps the Youth Division Championships
The Northeast Division Youth Fencing Championships were held today in Concord, NH, drawing the best young fencers from Maine and New Hampshire. Seacoast Fencing Club dominated the youth foil events, sweeping the Y-12 foil, and taking the top two spots in Y-10 as well. Christian Thayer, the number one seed out of the pools, won the Y12 Mixed Foil Championship, defeating his Seacoast teammate Ethan Donahue in the gold medal bout. Cameron Ahlstrom tied for third with Connor Haugh.
Seacoast Fencing Club members also took gold and silver in the Y-10 Mixed Foil Championships. Will Chiang, age 8, defeated Josh Fellows in the final.
