Once more, our saber coach had a stellar performance at the Kansas City NAC this past weekend in the Veteran’s 70+ Mens Saber. John Terninko had a relatively poor pool again (similar to his pool round at the Veteran’s World Championships, where he ended up third), and a terrific set of direct elimination bouts. At the end of the day, John was fencing the current 70+ world champion, Marvin Fine, for the gold. And John prevailed, winning the event 10-3.
In the past 12 months, Terninko has won two NACs, took third in the Summer Nationals, and won a bronze medal at the Veteran World Championships. Congratulations, John!
